Sega Genesis
The console that put Sega on the map. This was the pinacle of Sega's achievements in the home console market. It was a powerhouse when it first hit the scene back in 1989 and the first real competition for Nintendo. There were plenty of classics that had their start on the Genesis and many of them still exist today. Just playing those games reminds me of a time when games were as simple as running through long 2D levels at blazing speeds and collecting little golden rings.
